The East Texas Food Bank relies on the financial contributions of individuals, corporations, foundations and other groups to raise the yearly  monies needed to feed the hungry in East Texas. For every $1 donated to the East Texas Food Bank 8 meals can be provided to children and adults in our community.

Canned food drives are one of the most popular ways that groups provide food for the hungry. The East Texas Food Bank then distributes the food equitably to member agencies.

Food Drive Tips

Every year hundreds of people donate their time at the East Texas Food Bank. Volunteers perform a variety of activities, including answering the phone, taking food orders, picking up and transporting food, assisting with special events, sorting food and working in the warehouse.
