From Waste to Resource:
As a clearinghouse for donated food, the East Texas Food Bank forms a partnership with the food industry by collecting, inspecting, sorting, packaging and distributing food to member agencies, which provide food directly to those in need.

Food Sources:
A variety of national, regional and local food manufacturers, brokers, wholesalers, and retailers donate food to the Food Bank. Donated food includes overproduced or discontinued items, frozen foods, dairy products, mislabeled  goods, dented cans, day-old breads and pastries, and odd-sized  produce. Local farmers and gardeners provide fresh produce. Community organizations support the Food Bank through various canned food drives. Individuals and businesses participate in canned food drives every year.
